Yippa — Gizlilik Politikası

Kısaca
Yippa, seni tanımaya çalışmıyor. Hesap açmıyorsun, e-posta vermiyorsun, oyun seni takip etmiyor. Reklam yok, reklam ağı yok, verini satan kimse yok.
- Oyunun kendisi.
Oda, oyun bitince siliniyor.

In short
Yippa does not try to know who you are. There is no account, no email, no tracking. No ads, no ad networks, and nobody selling your data.
All the game does is let phones in the same room find each other, and it keeps the smallest amount of information needed for that, only while the game is running.
What we collect
When you open a game room or join one, the following is written to our server:
- The name you typed. Whatever you type. It does not have to be your real name and the game never checks.
- An anonymous id given to your device. A random string. It contains no name, email, phone number or device identifier. The only reason the game needs it is so that each seat's score can only be written by the phone sitting in that seat.
- The game itself. The room code, which games will be played, and each round's scores.
There is one more thing that sits apart from these, and because it sits apart it gets its own heading below: the numbers of a played round.
That is all. Location, contacts, photos, microphone, health data, purchase history — we touch none of it and do not even ask.
How long it stays
The room is deleted when the game ends. When the person who opened the room leaves, the room and everything in it — names, scores, all of it — is removed from the server. If that person's phone never managed to leave (battery died, app closed), the room is deleted the next time that device opens a new one.
Your device's anonymous id stays. So that it does not have to be created again next time. It identifies nothing about you and is not tied to any session — because rooms are deleted, no record remains of which games that id was used in.
The name you typed stays on your phone, so you do not have to type it again. That copy is on your device, not ours, and deleting the app deletes it.
The numbers of a played round
When a round ends, its numbers come to us: how often you hit the rocks, how many things you remembered correctly, how the scores fell. If you are offline when it ends, the line waits on your phone and goes when the connection comes back — and while it waits there is nothing in it that points at you either; everything written below holds for it too. We read them to tune how hard the games are — is the river too fast, is the memory game's study time too short. That is the difference between a game tuned by guesswork and one tuned by a thousand rounds somebody actually played.
There is one more: a line also goes when a room cannot be opened. All it says is "a room could not be opened right now", when, and whether you were opening one or joining one. Not what you played, not who you are, not where — this line does not even carry a seat number. We read it because nothing else would tell us our server was full: without it we find out when you complain. Same switch, same rule: turn it off and this stops too.
Nothing in those lines points at you, and that is a constraint rather than a preference. No name, no email, no location, no device identifier — not even the anonymous id described above. The only "who" in them is your seat in that round: whether you played first or second at the table. Seats are handed out afresh in every room and go when the room is deleted, so there is no way to look at two lines and say the same person played both.
This has a consequence and we would rather write it down: we cannot bring those lines back to you. Because they do not know who you are, there is nothing to find when somebody asks us to delete their data. That is the other face of there being no personal data to delete.
If you would rather not, it is one tap: Settings → Data sharing → Gameplay data. With it off, a round's numbers are not written down anywhere — they do not come to us and they do not pile up on your phone either. The moment you switch it off, any lines still waiting to be sent go with it: a line that has not left yet does not set off after you have said no. Switching it off takes effect from the next round on.
We use no third-party crash reporting — there is nothing inside the app collecting crashes on our behalf. If the app does crash, Apple can pass that on to us through its own system: only if "share with app developers" is on for your phone, only by way of Apple, and with nothing in it that points at you — a report saying which line it broke on. There are no ads and no ad networks; these numbers go to no third party and are combined with no other data.
Deleting your data
There is almost nothing to delete, and what there is deletes itself: the room goes when the game ends, the name on your phone goes when you delete the app. For the numbers of a played round, what is written above applies — because they do not point at you there is no "your data" to delete, and you can switch the sending off with one tap.
If you also want your device's anonymous id deleted, write to the address below. To do it for you we need you to tell us that id: Settings → Your anonymous ID, and the Copy button beneath it puts it on your clipboard. The id comes into being the first time your phone enters a room — if you have never played there is nothing to delete, and the screen says so.
Children
Yippa does not separate content by age and does not knowingly collect information from children. The only personal thing it collects at all is the name a player types themselves.
If this text changes
We will publish changes on this page and update the date above. If what we collect grows, we will not leave it at updating a page — we will say so inside the app.
